Rob Ketcherside – “Taken by my great grandfather Sidney Duff in Washington, DC. Union Station was completed in 1908” |
My Research question is:
What is the historical significance of Union Station and its construction both economically ans socially as a large part of Washington DC’s history? |

I’m curious as to what you mean by “socially.” Was the station primarily for upper class people in the past? Something else along similar lines? Is its name a Civil War reference? Heh, I didn’t even think about that until just now. I don’t really know much about Union Station’s history so I can’t help you much. I have used it a couple of times so I know it has interesting architecture.
Good luck with your project.

Hey!
So I really like your topic because I use Union Station all the time, it’s basically my second home so I would be interested to know what you find out. I think it would be interesting to see how it has evolved over the years from where it started out to how it is today especially socially (i.e what part of D.C is it in, what is it like demographically) this may help with context.
